Once you come to visit Carlingford you wont want to leave!
Need proof? Well here are two of our favourite quotes from past guests.
“For such a small town it sure packs a big punch!”
“Coming into Carlingford was like stepping out of black and white and into technicolor!”
Some say that the meeting of mountains and water has a relaxing effect on the mind and promotes positive energy.
I don’t know about that, but what I can tell you is that I came to Carlingford for a weekend break. That was 7 years ago and I’m still here!
When you visit Carlingford you truly get the best of both worlds. A quaint Irish medieval village with castles and ruins dating back as far as the 12th century with all the charm and character you would expect from a European Destination Of Excellence.
There’s a lot more to Carlingford than just ruins and history. In the past few years Carlingford has developed into a bustling hub of social activity with numerous festivals on throughout the year. You can walk into any bar or restaurant in Carlingford and meet ten different nationalities in ten minutes!
I could try to convey the total uniqueness of Carlingford to you but text just doesn’t do it justice. If you want to know “About Carlingford” then I have one suggestion: simply visit Carlingford and experience it for yourself!
Carlingford Accommodation – Pet-Friendly
One of the hardest parts of going on holiday is having to wave goodbye to your cherished family pet knowing that they will miss you nearly as much as you will miss them. They are part of the family so leaving them at home or in boarding can be heart-breaking and can tinge your holiday with sadness, but with Carlingford Accommodation, you can bring your furry friend along for the fun!
Providing your animal is house trained and well behaved, we are more than happy to play host to them and with rolling mountains, beaches and expansive countryside there’s plenty of opportunities for them to join in with your plans and take in the famed sights of Carlingford.
Staying with Pets
Although we are a pet-friendly company, you will need to bring with you anything that your pet requires for the duration of your stay. Food bowls, bedding, leads and harnesses aren’t provided by us so make sure you pack all of the amenities to make them feel at home.
If you are travelling to Carlingford by train, plane or boat, you will need to check the restriction of your travel operator before you travel. If you are travelling internationally, it is important that your pet has the relevant documentation. Please be aware that Irish law states that pets flying into the country can only enter via Dublin airport, and they must be transported in an approved pet carrier before boarding. All pets must have a microchip and be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate that stated the animal is immunised.
